The international Future Energy Solutions 2025 conference brought together energy professionals, innovators, and decision-makers in Lappeenranta, Finland, on 9–10 September. Held at the Lappeenranta City Theatre, the event focused on the theme of Energy Innovations, with sessions exploring Digital Energy Systems, Hydrogen Economy, and Future Mobility.
Over two days, the conference offered a rich program of keynote speeches, expert presentations, workshops, site visits, and networking opportunities. The opening Welcome Session set the tone for the event, featuring two distinguished keynote speakers. Sari Multala, Minister of Climate and the Environment, shared her insights on how the clean transition can enhance both competitiveness and climate neutrality. Pasi Vainikka, entrepreneur, researcher, and innovator, presented the story of Solar Foods and discussed how Finnish innovations can help address global sustainability challenges.
In addition to the keynotes, the conference sessions delved into the role of artificial intelligence in energy systems, sector integration, demand response, hydrogen infrastructure, and the electrification of transport. The program also included panel discussions, round tables, and evening events that fostered meaningful dialogue and collaboration across the energy sector.
