HOW TO REACH US
LUT University is located in the Skinnarila district, seven kilometres from the city centre, at Yliopistonkatu 34, 53850 Lappeenranta.
Lappeenranta is easy to reach from all over Finland. There are good connections with trains and buses. We prefer public transportation on arrival.

Arrival instructions to LUT University
Bus numbers 3 and 5 run to the university from the central bus & railway station (“Matkakeskus”). Local bus numbers 1, 3 and 5 run between the city centre and the university via different routes. The journey takes 20-30 minutes depending on the route. You will find the routes and timetables here.
Bus number 5 leaves from the city centre for the university at 10 and 40 minutes past the hour. Bus number 1 leaves at 15 and 45 minutes past the hour.
From the university to the city centre, bus number 5 leaves on the hour and 30 minutes past the hour. Bus number 1 leaves at 15 and 45 minutes past the hour.
Lappeenranta railway station is located 8 kilometres from the university. Bus numbers 3 and 5 run to the university from the central bus & railway station (“Matkakeskus”).

Arrival from Helsinki Airport
From Helsinki Airport you can take commuter train to Tikkurila, from where you can get a long distance train to Lappeenranta.
To travel to Tikkurila, you need the BC-ticket.
Tickets can be purchased from HSL’s mobile app, or from the ticket machine at the train platform.

Parking at LUT University
LUT University’s parking lots are free to use during the event (although the signs say that they require a permit). The closest places are by the front door, but other parking lots in the campus area are also available if the front parking lot fills up.
