The City of Lappeenranta hosted the first Future Energy Solutions Conference in 2021, on September 13th and 14th. The conference was part of the city’s European Green Leaf Award year with the main objective of sharing knowledge and promoting joint business opportunities and political initiatives. In 2021, altogether 33 speakers gave presentations for 300 registered participants in the Future Energy Solutions Conference. Keynote speakers included Catharina Sikow-Magny, Director of DG Energy, Timo Harakka, Finland’s Minister of Transport and Communications and Mika Anttonen, the founder and principal shareholder of the energy company St1.
